Job Title: Screen Printing Press Operator
Department: Production
Reports To: Screen Printing Manager

Job Summary

The Screen Printing Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating screen printing presses to produce high-quality printed products according to customer specifications and production schedules. This role requires attention to detail, technical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual and/or automatic screen printing presses.
  • Prepare screens, inks, and substrates for printing.
  • Mix inks to match specified colors and viscosities.
  • Align and register screens to ensure accurate print placement.
  • Monitor print quality throughout the production run, making adjustments as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and troubleshooting.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Record production data, including quantities, materials used, and any issues encountered.
  • Assist with other production tasks as assigned by the Screen Printing Manager.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience as a screen printing press operator preferred.
  • Knowledge of screen printing techniques, inks, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret job specifications and instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
